About & Support

Jamie Arpin-Ricci is an urban missionary, pastor, church planter and writer living in Winnipeg’s inner city West End neighbourhood.  He is the author of “The Cost of Community: Jesus, St. Francis & Life in the Kingdom”.  He is founding co-director of Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Urban Ministries Winnipeg with his Australian wife Kim.  They recently adopted their first child from Ethiopia.  He has served with YWAM in Canada since 1994, bringing him to 11 nations.

In addition to writing only and for other print publications, he has also contributed to several book.  His current writing project, “The Cost of Community: Jesus, St. Francis & Life in the Kingdom”, is an exploration of the Sermon on the Mount as a model for the spiritual and missional formation of Christian communities.  In the midst of his ministry and writing, he became personally inspired by St. Francis of Assisi, a key source of inspiration for founding Little Flowers Community.  Little Flowers is a new missional church plant, a partnership between YWAM & Mennonite Church Manitoba of which Jamie is the pastor.

Jamie is also a third order Franciscan with The Company of Jesus.  He made full professional in October 2009.

Kim & I (Jamie) could not continue in the ministry God has called us to without the prayer and support from people like you.  While we continue to find ways to live more simply and subsidizemissionary income through other means, we still rely on your generosity in this work.  The nature of our ministry in this inner city community requires a level of time and energy that has not allowed us to be fully bi-vocational.  We would like to ask you to prayerfully consider becoming part of our prayer & financial support team.

Should you decide to support us, please make your cheque or money order payable to Youth With A Mission and include a separate note with our name on it. Do not put put our name anywhere on the cheque, as per Revenue Canada’s request. Send cheques to our Project Funding Office (see below info).

If you are interested in giving on a monthly basis you can send in post-dated cheques or use our pre-authorized payment method. If you are interested in receiving a pre-authorized payment agreement form please email or call our donor office with your name and address.

They send out income tax receipts to donors monthly or annually.
