I have been so busy lately with Chiara House, getting the first draft of my new book to the publisher and participating in all the other regular responsibilities of life & ministry here that I have not been able to give the blog the deserved attention. I hope to remedy that soon, especially since I have so much to write about! However, I wanted to quickly post something this morning.
I recently came across the website of a church in Denver that has a great deal in common with Little Flowers Community. The first thing I noticed in common was the name: Bloom. Reading about who they are, I found that we share a great deal of vision and values. So I dropped them a line, connecting with Andrew Arndt, one of the pastors. We got to chatting & realized we had many of the same joys & challenges in common. At any rate, I wanted to give them a big thumbs up here on the blog. If you live (or are visiting) in the Denver area, you should check them out.
I later learned that the church was founded by Michael & Lisa Gungor, who I had just discovered through their music. This was the first song I heard of theirs:
I was also deeply moved by their “Song for Haiti”, which has become something of theme song for us here in Winnipeg.
It's fascinating how ones view of the sovereignty of God shapes ones understanding or & expectations for human political systems. #1 hour ago Follow Me
