Previous Post – Interview with Albert Haase, OFM

I’ve been sick again this week, which is timely (enter sarcastic tone) as this is a 7 day work week for me. However, I have gathered a few links I wanted to share for your weekend reading. Hope you enjoy!
-Scot McKnight caused me to sin. Ok, so my envy over his time in Assisi is not really his fault, but I did drool. Anyway, he has a few posts with pics. I dream about making a pilgrimage to Assisi someday. Wanna come with me?
-I discovered an excellent new website, Franciscan Journey, which is a wonderful source for Franciscan spirituality. I actually wrote the Sunday Gospel Reflection for this Sunday which is the Feast of the Portiunucula. The site is brought to us by the great people at Tau Publishing, which has some excellent material.
-At this point some of you might be wondering what the Feast of the Portiunucula is. Rather than explain it here, check out John Micheal Talbot’s explanation via video on Facebook.
-Back from his vacation from the land of milk & honey (wink), David Fitch returns to blogging with an excellent post called “The Seven Indispensable Virtues of a Missional Leader”.
-For those who missed my interview with Adam McHugh on his book “Introverts In The Church”, you should really check it out. Also, Adam is going into greater depth and conversation about each question over the next few weeks at his blog, so be sure to check that out too.

Thanks for your comments over on Greenpatches. It’s always good to discover other Francsican-tinged blogs. I’ll look forward to checking out some of your links, especially the “Introverts in the Church” one.
Are you feeling better? Nothing serious I hope?
Excellent meditation of yours for today on the Franciscan Journey site, which I’ve taken the liberty of cross-posting! Thanks!
Hey Greenpatches,
Welcome to Missional.ca! I am glad you stopped by. I think you will really love the Introverts In The Church material. Looking forward to sharing the path together.
Peace,
Jamie
Hey Mike,
Nothing too serious, as I am almost over it. I was born with a genetic immune deficiency in respect to respiratory illness. Par for the course, but thanks!
Glad you liked the reflection (written in the fog of cough medicine). You should consider writing for them too.
Peace,
Jamie
Uh I’ll go to Assisi with you! I would love love love to go back!!!
Sure, Crystal, rub in the fact that it would be your SECOND visit. (wink)
Peace,
Jamie
